About the Role

With significant investment from NZ Government, Rail is transforming! Not only is Rail a major contributor to national and regional economic growth, but it’s also made a fundamental shift in decarbonising NZ transport, with every tonne of freight carried by rail having 70% fewer carbon emissions than heavy road freight. Our trains take trucks off the road, reduce road maintenance costs, as well as congestion, air pollutants and also improve safety outcomes with few injuries and fatalities on the roads. Rail is shaping the sustainability narrative and is committed to caring for and protecting the health of the environment and the communities that call Aotearoa home.

What’s in it for me?

We have a multitude of opportunities across multiple organisations there for the taking. We’ve partnered with a wide range of organisations, from large international firms to small-medium NZ-owned companies. There’s something to suit everyone, no matter what your preference.

Likewise, whether you prefer the hustle and bustle of city life or the slower pace of one of our beautiful regions, New Zealand's got it on offer.
