Working Holiday Visa

Every year hundreds of young people apply for New Zealand working holiday visas, and spend a year or two working in New Zealand.

There are so many reasons why New Zealand is favourite destination for young travellers. It's an adventure playground with stunning scenery and a unique landscape. The people are friendly and welcoming and young travellers are made to feel very welcome. There are lots of exciting job opportunities across a wide range of industries for young people to get stuck into whilst exploring this beautiful country.

Kiwis are a pretty laid back bunch and the work life balance is envied by many other countries. Let's face it, there's not many countries where you can go paddle-boarding at lunchtime, surf each day of the year and go hiking, fishing, sailing or skiing at the weekends!  We’re travellers ourselves so we know what it’s like to immerse yourself in a new country and culture and want to make the most of every minute.

Requirements and Eligibility

Working holiday visas are available to young people, usually aged 18-30, but 18-35 in a select few countries. They let you travel and work in New Zealand for up to 12 months, or 23 months if you’re from the UK. You need to have a return ticket, or enough money to pay for one, and be coming mainly to holiday, with work being a secondary intention.
